Feedback feedback feedback! And a bit of displacement! Great week learning more about using feedback in different ways, mostly from the excellent elekktronaut on YouTube.

I’m always looking for ways to freak things out in feedback loops, this week was using several blur TOPs. I also found that the composite TOP is so powerful when you try different operations, such as difference, subtract etc. I plan to carry on down this path a lot more, as well as searching out more feedback tutorials and learning from them. A lot of time I find just messing around through trial and error is best though.

One thing I learned from elekktronaut was when he said if a piece can yield many different results that’s often a good sign, and I totally get what he means. By the time you compile your network of operators, if you can adjust some parameters and make a whole new look, again and again, that’s a great feeling. Maybe its just me being lazy, but it’s great when you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time to make something new (especially when you’re doing a one post a day thing on instagram)

I’ve noticed with my work lately that I like to push touchdesigner to a place of discomfort, that’s usually where the magic happens. All of a sudden you get something that was out of your comfort zone that really stands out.

On the collab front, I have just completed a super collaboration with Marta Pang which i’m super excited about!! More to come next week on that.

I also have done another collaboration with reinfected.me which i’m beyond proud of! Audio done by myself, reinfected.me did the visuals. Check it out here !!

Have a great week, keep creating!!

Running through time!
