So, this week saw two collaborations with artists I highly respect come to fruition. First is the collab with Marcin Pospiech aka Marcin Pospiech. Marcin is a superb London based artist who I discovered via instagram. His work immediately struck me as quality with a haunting, ethereal feel to it. I did the audio and he did the visual, and I must say I was delighted at the end result. Link here if you want to check it out!

Secondly, I composed the audio for another collab with the super talented laser wizard Bryan Snigur - There will be more to come on this in future posts, but for now the project is firmly cooking!

As well as that this week, I've learnt about pixel sorting from elekktronaut - As always his videos are a great source of inspiration and learning.

I spent a lot of time re-wiring my studio, changing things up. I like to work in organised chaos. I really don’t like a tidy studio, I find im much more creative when stuff is everywhere, cables patching machines all over the place, but after a while there comes a time when I need to change things up. This was that week. As always, once i’d moved things around, I felt like it was too clean and tidy! But it won’t be long before it starts getting all over the place again.

I see a lot of people go on about ‘clean desk, clear mind’ etc. But for me, I hate that. I like organised chaos, where it may look a mess to outsiders, but I know what everything is doing and where things are. Each to their own, whatever gets you going creatively.

Browsing on instagram I came across Bastl Instruments and was immediately impressed! They create just the kind of effects boxes and instruments I like, so I purchased the Kastle 2 wave FX wizard. Can’t wait to get into it! I love these unique hardware companies. They really inspire me when I come across stuff like this!

As always, stay creative!
